Suffice to say, we had a Ball ! On our last dance of the year, it has become customary to hold a Lunch Party first, so from 12 noon onwards the Town Hall was full of happy people enjoying themselves. This year it was decided to go for it and we served a full Christmas Dinner of roast turkey with all the trimmings, Christmas Pudding and Brandy cream , Pavlova, Trifle or fruit salad and cheese and biscuits.
After partaking of this repast, washed down with a choice of red or white wine, some sixty plus people ( and most of them are sixty plus !) found the energy and enthusiasm to dance the afternoon away, only pausing briefly for tea and mince pies while the Raffle was drawn.
As usual, Ray Denning kept the party going with his swinging music and a thoroughly good time was had by all concerned.
So we look forward to the New Year and if you have not been before, come and join us at 2pm on January 16th at the Town Hall. Watch out "Strictly " we intend to" kee.....eeep dancing !"
