In what we hope will be the first in a series of lectures and talks, the Friends of St Andrew’s, Colyton (FoStA) invite you to Art, Birds & Environment, presented by Drs Caitlin Kight and Sasha Dall, a husband and wife team from the University of Exeter, Cornwall Campus based at Penryn.

Caitlin is an associate lecturer, a freelance science editor and writer, and the host of Wild Side, a science-themed radio show broadcast by Cornwall's The Source 96.1 FM.  She also maintains two blogs: one that explores the connections between humans and nature, and another that features her thoughts on living and traveling abroad.  Caitlin hails from The Plains, Ohio, USA.

Sasha is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematical Ecology and the primary aim of his research is to explore how animals cope with the unexpected opportunities and dangers they face in their day-to-day lives. Sasha is a member of the Behaviour research group and is also the Secretary of the Media & Policy Committee of the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour.

If you are already in awe of our ‘feathered friends’ (some not feathered nor friendly), then this fresh and modern presentation will not resolve your perplexity, but will rather make you question your relationship with the bird kingdom, with amazement anew.

We look forward to welcoming you.
